My Story
I started learning Arabic on my own in high school because I couldn't find any classes or teachers nearby or online. Most courses I found focused on Arabic grammar, not the language itself.
I spent three years learning the basics through online resources, mostly YouTube videos based on the Madinah Arabic Books. Then, I got my Hijama certification from an Arabic-medium organization, which helped me improve my language skills.
Later, I applied to Al-Madinah International University in Malaysia to major in Ulum Ul Quran. Alhamdullilah, I passed the university's Arabic Proficiency test and have completed three years of study there. I also took private classes with quite a few of professors and Shuyukh to improve my spoken Arabic.
I am passionate about teaching Arabic because I know how challenging it can be, having gone through the process myself. I wanted to help young women learn the language, so I started teaching a small group using the Madinah Arabic Books a few years ago. Apart for that, I've taught the first book of the series many times.
This summer, I plan to offer an intensive program for university students and other women who have limited time due to their studies, work, or other commitments.
I focus on teaching women the language of the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) so that they can speak the language of their Prophet, understand the Book of their Creator, raise their children in light of their teachings and pass the language to them as well.
